Learning outcomes of the course :

| According to the ILO's programm, afte this course, the student
- will learn the basics necessary for the proper understanding and the proper use of statistics in various areas (management, market research, finance, ...).
- will be able to appeal to the theories described in the contents above to analyze data to determine the analytical tools that are suitable for this analysis and will be able to adequately draw and formulate conclusions arising from this analysis.
This basic course allows to access various other domains where the basic statistical knowledge is a pre-requisite. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| The knowledge will be acquired through lectures. The student will solve problems during exercices session. The problems will finally be discussed collectively.

Personal work, outside class and exercises sessions, is expected of the student. Each session will begin with a brief session of "questions & answers" on the previous course.
As an extension to the theory and practical sessions, individual sessions or small group remediation are offered to all students genuinely involved and making the request. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Written exam (50% theory, 50% exercises).
It is strictly forbidden to carry a mobile phone or other electronic device, even swiched off. Failure to comply with these rules will
cancel the exam, that is to say it will lead to a score of 0.
Only a calculating machine, not graphical, non-programmable permitted. |

| The course is taught in French.
Mobile phones, tablets and other computers are not useful during the
course and impair concentration. These devices must be switched off, alarm
deactivated, during the courses.
