Course contents :

| The course is held every odd year (2015-2016, 2017-2018...).
The course examines the dynamics of democracy in the European Union and their Membres States. It will focus on public policies such as the fight against racism, freedom of speech and education to citizenship. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| The course has two objectives :
- understanding of issues related to democracy within the EU
- analysis the impact of several public policies on relations between States |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| The student following the course, should be aware of the concept of democracy, its complexity and its misuse in the order of political discourse. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| The course will consist of introductory lectures given by the teacher, the case studies presented by guest speakers and presentations of work by students. |
