| Field theory course with an emphasis on quantum electrodynamics. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| The course has a double purpose: on the one hand, to give a practical knowledge of field theory, so that students can calculate the amplitudes for simple processes; on the other hand, to link field theory with particle and astroparticle physics. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| Quantum mechanics, relativistic quantum mechanics. |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| 20h of lectures + 10 h of discussion sessions. |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
| The course will have of 1h30, and will be given after the courses on relativistic quantum mechanics. |
