Course contents :
 |
| The course concern classical sociology (1513-1960) and more specifically Machiavel, Montesquieu, Tocqueville et Weber. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| Clear up the structure of sociological reasoning with help of some famous works of the sociological tradition. The 2 levels of reasoning will be: -on the analytic level, the central concepts of interest, value and structure. -on the nominal level, the great theories of democracy, bureaucracy and religion. |
