Seminar will consist in lectures about research or research in progress by the researcher him(her)self.

Learning outcomes of the course :  
The main goal is to familiarize students with the practice of social science research within different contexts :
- academic research
- university research for an external client
- research led by private corporations
- research led by a public administration.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
For the acacdemic year 2012-2014 there will be five or six lectures, preceded by one or two sessions dedicated to presentation and organization of the course and one session of debriefing.
Students will receive in advance a document (report, articles, chapter of book or of dissertation thesis) thanks to which they will prepare questions and remarks for the day of the lecture.
ATTENTION : the way the seminar will be concretely organized in 2014 will depend on the number of participating students.

THERE IS NO COMPULSORY TEXTBOOK
Students will prepare the lectures will rely on various documents that will be delivered in advance by the lecturers.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
There is no examination. Students will receveive their graded according to their gorup presentation, their participation to collective discussion and a written synthesis of five to ten pages that will be either individual or in group according to the actual number of students.
