Course contents :
|
| This course focuses on the methodological aspects of development projects. It provides the essential tools and notions necessary to build, analyse and assess development projects. It also aims at clarifying the scientist's role in comparison with the expert's role in the area of development activities. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
|
| Good knowledge of the different steps of the Project Cycle Management (PCM).
Good understanding and use of the logical frame and other project assessing tools (problem tree/solution tree, SWOT analysis...)
The student should be able to contribute to the definition and the assesment of a project in response to a call for proposals. |

| A good knowledge of current actors and issues of the aid industry is an asset. |

| 1. Active participation to the workshops.
2. In small groups, preparation of a development project in response to a false call for proposals (role play). Each group will stand up for its project in front of a jury.
