Course contents :
| The lecture focus on the state-of the art experimental cancerology. It describes DNA repair pathways perturbated and leading to cancer transformation. It also explains the different steps of neoplastic progression with a particular emphasis on the importance of the tumor microenvironment. The key signaling pathways dysregulated in cancer cells will be detailled. The main drugs currently used in clinic will be mentionned. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| The main objectif is to help the student to develop the capacity to integrate previously acquired knowledge with the up to date scientific literature, in order to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the steps of cancer progression. After 5 lectures, seminars aim at developing critical analyses of reported data and to identify the limits and interests of experimental models and approaches. The purpose is also to learn working in a small team to answer to a specific scientific question. |
