Learning outcomes of the course :  
For the lecture about desertification processes:

This course provides a state of the art of recent findings and controversy that surround the desertification processes and analyzes the role of climate and of Man on land degradation in arid, semiarid and dry subhumid regions of the world.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
None
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
For the lecture about desertification processes:

Analysis of documents and datasets.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Based on four 3-hours lectures, the curses will be given with a Power Point support fully available to the students.
Recommended or required readings :  
Several refences will be given to the students. Those will be in both French and English. Issued from peer-reviewed journals, all articles will be made available in pdf from this website.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
For the lecture about desertification processes:
The evaluation will be made on the basis of the analysis of one National Action Plan to fight against desertification.
