Part: Economics of Agricultural Production The course tackles the basics of economics needed to understand the development of the agricultural sector: - economic characteristics of the agricultural sector - agricultural value chains - market failures and institutional economics - innovation, adoption, diffusion - international trade - basics of optimization and decision-making tools
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Part: Project cycle management The objective of this course is to teach the methodology which is internationally adopted for the conception and evaluation of development projects. After completing the course the student is expected to Use the tools of conception and evaluation of projects Apply the principles of PCM Define indicators of follow-up of project Criticize specific studies Part: Economics of agricultural production At the end of the course, the student is able to: - mobilize the learned economic concepts to analyze particular situations of agricultural development - use the decision-making tools with a critical approach of their potential and limits
