Course contents :
 |
| a. Overview of the disciplines that deal with perception: physics and engineering, psychobiology and sensorial psychophysiology; psychophysics and cognitive psychology of perception; perception and social life; phenomenology, etc. b. Advanced theories of perception. c. Aspects of perception (for instance, for vision): psychophysical relations, seeing shapes, colours, relief, movement, objects. Illusions and visual inattentions, visual strategies, multisensorial integration and substitutes. d. Applications in everyday life: advertising; lighting and road markings on motorways and in towns; media and communication; eye-witness reports; robotics; etc. |
