Course contents :  
1. The concept of "team-leadership" and different types of leadership
2. The relationship between leadership, training and intervention
3. Preparing for team-leading
4. Building a guide for team-leading
5. Main techniques for leading a task group
6. Attitudes to leadership
7. Critical incidents and how to manage them
8. Feedback techniques
9. Ethical problems posed by team-leadership in practice
Learning outcomes of the course :  
1. To acquire the theoretical foundations required for decoding the main types and styles of team-leading.
2. To acquire the methodological and technical foundations required to lead a task group.
3. To learn how to use the methods and techniques covered in class.
4. To put the professional uses of task group leadership into perspective
5. To develop a critical approach to the student's own leadership skills
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The student must have followed the course in Dynamique des groupes (PSYC1019-1) Required: Course on group co-ordination methods and techniques (PSYC1045-1)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
This practical work will be organised with students during the term and will consist of preparing a presentation around a theme proposed by the lecturer. The grade for the practical work will be given on the basis of students' participation and performance during the practical work.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
The student will design, draw up, and test a specific leadership plan. The examination will consist of the presentation and defence of the plan created.
