Course contents :  
The main subjects are the nuclei, the radioactive decay, the different decays, the interactions between matter and particles and nuclear astrophysics. Various applications are also discussed: fission, fusion, dating, material analysis, medical techniques,...
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The course is mainly an introduction to nuclear physics. The aim is to familiarize the students with elementary concepts.

Physics and mathematics learned during 1st bachelor

- Theoretical course : face-to-face
- Laboratories : contact D. Strivay

The theoretical course is organized during the 1st period

Assessment methods and criteria :  
- Oral presentation of a presonnal work on a subject related to the course.
- Laboratory exams
- Each evaluation counts for 50% of the final quotation.

The theoretical course is given at the same as the physics modern course of physics 2nd bachelor.
