French language
Organisation and examination :
Teaching in the second semester
Course contents :
Table of contents
- physical concept of multiphasic fluid
- suspensions
- foams
- examples
Learning outcomes of the course :
The aim of the lectures is to depper study the physics of complex fluides by drawing a link between the macroscopic and microscopic properties of such fluids. Starting with a newtonian fluid, particles are added and their effect on the global viscosity of obtained. Former famous studies of Einstein, Langevain, de Gennes, Stokes... are followed and presented.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
Skill on fluid mechanics.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Face-to-face.
Recommended or required readings :
Slides are given at every lecture time but the main part is written on the blackboard.
