One-week Workshop preceded by a series of introductory lectures.
Theme 2013-2014: Self and Agency: Phenomenological Approaches
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Main purpose:
  • to encourage participants to develop their personal research capacities in the field of phenomenology
The seminar aims at gathering researchers and students of the "Phenomenology" orientation in a one-week workshop. This year, the workshop will take place from 22 to 25 April 2014.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The April Workshop will provide students with a representative sample of various analyses of the phenomenology of agency in its most recent developments. Those analyses will be introduced by a series of lectures.

The Sessions 4 and 5 will be organized in February and March, 2014 under the responsibility of G. Cormann.

Bibliographical informations will be made available by each introductory lecture.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The evaluation will be based on a personal work dedicated to the theme of the year. As for students in Master 2, this work will give rise to an oral presentation (50% of final report) and to a written text of approximatively 15 pages (50%). As for students in Master 1, only the written text is required. Evaluation criteria will be:
  • compliance with given instructions (length, deadline, etc.)
  • relevancy of discussed topic
  • use of primary and secondary literature
  • clarity and quality of language
Oral presentations should take place in April, 2014. Written works (MA-1 et MA-2) are due to 26 of May, 2014.
