Course contents :  
Historical and philosophical approach of major aesthetic theories from the 19th to the 20th century. The course is about the metaphysics of art and sciences of art.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To allow students to take into consideration the development of major concepts of aesthetics as they appear in the 19th and 20th centuries. To promote the understanding and the proper handling of these concepts.

Length and time period : 30 hours, 1st quadrimester.
