Course contents :  
With reference to the French school of the history of science (Bachelard in particular), the first part of this course sketches out a history of psychology based on a definition of that discipline's object, not simply on its methods. The main definitions considered will be those of Plato, Aristotle, and Descartes. The second part of the course is devoted to reading (accompanied by commentary) the works of Professor Fr.Pire, Questions de psychologie, Brussels, De Boeck
