Face-to-face lectures and practical works at the bench Contribution of 2 persons for lectures:
  • Prof. P.Melin: Microbiology: general overview, microbial challenge, bacteria, relations between host and parasites or biological associations and control of microbial diseases.
  • Prof.MP. Hayette: Mycology and parasitology.
Methods for microbial identification are described shortly in the face-to-face lectures and are widely described and performed during the practical works.

Sets of slides of lectures as well as syllabus of pratical works are posted on the ULg website and can be downloaded by the students.

Written examinations for the theorical and practical parts (multiple choice questions, open questions with short answers).
Work placement(s) :  
Some students from masters (1-4) may be selected to become "tutors" for other students attending the practical courses of general and medical microbiology. Conditions : good results at the examinations of Microbiology (theory and practical lessons); good global results ; motivation.
