Course contents :  
Solidification of metals and metallic alloys. Thermal and thermomecanical treatment of metals and alloys. Corrosion of metals . Surface treatment of metals. Structural adhesion. Non destructives testings.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Establish links between microstructure and in service properties of metals in relation with the processing.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Physics of metals.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Visits of factories.

Face-to-face theoretical lectures and practical workshops during 1° quadrimester.
