Learning outcomes of the course :  
This seminary is devoted to the woman figure in fiction of Gabriele d'Annunzio (1863-1938) between 1894 and 1896 : the two novels published in this period - Trionfo della morte (1894) and Le vergini delle rocce (1895 e 1896) - are here analysed from the point of view of a "cultural aestheticism of the patologic", trough which the sick body and the statue is shown.
