Course contents :

| This course will help students acquire the notions and techniques necessary to prepare paper form scholarly editions of 17th and 18th century literary french texts. Major topics covered include : choice and treatment of the base text ; critical apparatus ; annotations ; introduction and tools ; scholarly edition of complete works ; scholarly edition of correspondences ; scholarly edition of oral discourses ; new orientations (electronic scholarly editing, genetic editing). |
