Course contents :  
This seminar allows students to get more familiar with research in French linguistics. Recently issued papers, as well as must-read books sections are chosen each year for their methodological value. Every students read the entire selection. Each text is then studied by a small group students who introduce it to the others by a talk. Then, each student writes an individual extension of the collective work. Obligatory reading: R. Martin, Comprendre la linguistique, Paris, PUF, 2002 (2005).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end, student will show he understood all the texts of the seminar and he is able to analyse scientific contributions.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Anterior linguistics class.

Mandatory readings : 
- R. Martin, Comprendre la linguistique, Paris, PUF, 2002 (2005).
- the selection of issued papers, which will be introduced during the first class.
 
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Work of the year, seminar; Oral examination on the anthology and on the obligatory reading.

The course will take place on the 2nd Term only.
Resumption : Tuesday 3 February 2015, at 2PM, classroom A2/5/11.
The hours of the class will then be defined with the students.
