Reading texts from Brâhmanas and Vedic Sûtras. Accents.

Familiarizing with accentuation and syntax of the vedic prose texts.

Explication of epic and classic Sanskrit texts I
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Preparing the readings. Supervised reading of a Devanágarí vedic prosa text.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
30 h spread out over the first semester. Timetable set with the students. Opening session in September announced on Section notice board. The attendance is obligatory.

Photocopies of Vedic texts in Devanágarí script.
