Course contents :  
Introduction to medical informatics and to the use of the EpiInfo software.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Master some basic concepts in health informatics and being able to use the EpiInfo software.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic knowledge of Windows.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
A theoretical course is given in Liège (ULg) on 9 November 2012. The practical use of EpiInfo is taught at UCL (see course program).
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
One ex-cathedra course. EpiInfo is taught on PCs.
Recommended or required readings :  
Copies of the slides of the theoretical course are available. As for EpiInfo, lecture notes exist.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The theoretical exam is done on paper copies while the practical part EpiInfi is done on PC.
