- Crop water needs
- Soil water status and plant water uptake
- Evaporation and evapotranspiration: measurements and estimation
- Irrigation scheduling
-Measurement of crop water needs: classical and innovative methods
 
Learning outcomes of the course :  
After following this cours, student must be able to
- understand the hydraulic functioning of soil and plant and how they interact
- compute and measure crop water needs
- provide irrigation scheduling
- use electrical resistivity tomography to study the soil-plant continuum
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
- Plant physiology
- Edaphology
- Introduction to bioclimatology
- General hydrology

Working groups, presentations by students, lectures, workshops

6 h lecture, 4 h atelier, 6 h student presentations, 4h exercises, 4 h workshop
