Course contents :  
Methodological introduction and general survey of the sources. Four chapters : the deities, the places of the cult, the actors of the cult, the acts of the cult. Commented documents.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The aim is to introduce into the Roman religion with special attention to 1) the contact between the religious sphere and the other aspects of the Roman society ; 2) the importance of the religious element in the Roman story.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
A knowledge, even elementary, of Latin is desirable, but not obligatory.
