The written work will be assessed by a jury of three members on the basis of the criteria described above.

Organizational remarks :
The thesis is carried out under the direction of a mentor (in French “promoteur”). The latter must be a member of the teaching staff or a trainer of the ISHS Institute possessing a PhD.
It is up to the student to contact the person that he would like to mentor his work. This person has to give his/her agreement.
The object of the thesis, its problematics and its organization are specified in the pedagogical dialogue between the student and the mentor, with wide latitude, but within the framework of the regulations of the thesis of sociology of the ISHS.
Mentor and student must agree on a thesis form (in French “fiche mémoire”), which identifies the main elements of the thesis: subject, theoretical references, methodology, research question. This thesis form as well as the constitution of the jury have to be officially accepted by the Council of the ISS Institute.
For his/her thesis to be declared acceptable, the student has to respect the official schedule of the ISHS.
Contacts :
Contact person is the mentor. In case of difficulty to find a “promoteur”, please contact the President of the Jury of Master 2 in sociology: Marc.Jacquemain@ulg.ac.be
