Improvement of researching techniques and methods in medieval history
Individual and collective pratice.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of year, the student will be able
  • to daw up an exhaustive bibliography
  • to translate and interpret a sources corpus
  • to define issues and his/her researching method
  • to synthesize and communicate orally or in writing the result of his/her research
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
To have followed course HIST0018-1
To have a perfect command of the oral and written French
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Collective critical translation of latin sources and individual interpretation.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
Continuously evaluation during the year. Students will be evaluated on account of a written report in May. The note will be based on:
  • the quality and accuracy of documentary research
  • the ability of translating and interpretating
  • the proficiency in written French
