Course contents :  
The course investigates in details a specific topic of Ancient Egyptian Art History and Archaeology, with a special focus on the necessary complementarity of the different methodological approaches of historical matters and material culture in the context of Egyptology.
The theme of the course varies from a year to the other ("From Akhenaten to Tutankhamun, or the Atenist Episod", "Arts and powers at the time of Hatshepsut and Thutmosis III", "The Theban Necropolis in the 18th Dynasty", "Portrait in Ancient Egyptian Art", "Creation and function of Ancient Egyptian image", ...) and will be on display a few weeks before the beginning of the seminar.
The course might be given in English, in part or entirely.

- gaining a global and multidisciplinary knowledge of a specific issue relating to the history of Ancient Egyptian material culture
