Learning outcomes of the course :

| These lectures will initiate the students to the quality management in industry and services.
Industrial or services organisations are actually based on deep organization analyses in order to optimize the global efficiency.
These are developped in order to reduce the production costs and to meet the clients requirements (internal and external clients).
These lectures will be oriented to practice and will be based on the Professor experience in this field. He accompagned more than 100 companies an stability or architecture offices with his own company.
After the theoritical part of these lectures, the students will be informed about pratical applications and aspects. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| This course will begin with ex-cathedra presentations concerning the quality approach in general. The course will be followed by a practical exercise based on the preparation of a quality manual as well as the working procedures of a fictional firm or company of the kind that students are likely to encounter during the course of their professional lives.
The organization procedures and the elements constituting the quality manual will be developed by the students. To help them in this task, students will be supplied with the quality and procedures manual of the Consultant Engineering Firm J.M.RIGO SPRL. This is intended to represent a systematic and pragmatic approach. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| This course will be taught in the first term on Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30 at the Montefiore Institute- Building B28 R75.The theoretical part will cover around fifteen hours and reviewed exercises will cover 15 hours. |

| Written notes will be delivered to the students on informatie support. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| This will be based on an oral discussion with documents in hands.
This discussion will mostly be based on the practical works realised by the students. |
