All year long, with partial in January
Course contents :  
The lecture includes all aspects related to geological risk : hazards, vulnerability, disaster response, risk mitigation...
applied to earthquakes, mass movements, volcanic ... with focus on hazard coupling mechanisms.
Both scientific and socio-economic aspects are considered.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The goal is to understand the coupling between hazards as well as the link between hazard and risk.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of English and maths.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Development and computation of (earthquake) risk scenarios
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
8 lectures of 3h,
3 sessions of 3h of exercices (scenarios) and seminars
5 days in the Alps (if number of students >4 and <15, otherwise field trips are organized in/around Belgium)

Oral Examination and Project presentation.
