Course contents :  
The lecture is centered on morphological effects of earthquakes and on the surface of volcanoes.
It covers various aspects of neotectonics, seismo-tectonics, seismology, tectonic geomorphology as well as the physics and geomorphology related to volcanic activity.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The goal is to understand the geological origin of earthquake and volcano hazards.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of English and maths.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Analyses on maps, aerial and satellite imagery; microseismic measurements and data processing. 2 visits in the Roermond Valley Graben
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
8 lectures of 3h,
5 sessions of 3h of exercices and data processing. 2 days of fieldwork in the Rhine Graben

Oral Examination and presentaiton of project on a seismo-tectonic and/or volcanic region.
