Course contents :

| Morphological study of sporomorphs (Pollen and Spores). Palynostratigraphy: notion of biozones and stratigraphic correlation. Study of palynological assemblies of the main stages and formations from the Cenozoïc. Palynofacies and genesis of environments of deposits; marine and continental series. |

| Arrangement of stages and formations from the Cenozoïc based on an analysis of palynological assemblies (Pollen and Spores) from sedimentary deposits. Introduction to biostratigraphic correlations. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| Knowledge of the basic chronological scale of the main periods of the Tertiary period. |
