| Study of the sedimentary part of the geological cycle.
- Alteration
- Transport
- Deposition
- Post-sedimentary evolution

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Introduction to sedimentary petrology. The student has to be able to identify the different sedimentary process. A special attention is given to sedimentary structures. |

| General geology. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| Lectures with slides, movies and rock samples.Description and interpretation of different types of sedimentary structures based on rock samples. Fieldtrips: karstic morphologies and littoral sedimentation. |
