Course contents :  
The course deals with soil mapping and spatial analysis of soil information through practical exercises in the field and with GIS.
Content:
- Introduction and theory related to methods that will be used
- Field exercise
- GIS data treatment
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Basic knowledge of :
- soil mapping
- spatial analysis applied to soil and landscape
- spatial interpolation techniques
- To be able to use appropriate softwares
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Geomatics course
Multivariate analysis
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The lectures are organized in 2hours-lessons including 1h of presentation of tools and methods dedicated to spatial analysis and 1h of practical exercices with these tools.
Additionnaly, the students will have to organize by them-selves a field mission for data collection.
