Theory 1) Sources and concept concerns in population geography 2) World population, spatial distribution 3) Mortality, fecondity 4) Demographic policy 5) History of Belgian population (Urbanization) 6) Migrations
Practicals - Rate, indices and table - Collective work on a localisation issue in order to investigate population data and discover spatial analysis - Personal work on the International demographic databases.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course of population geography begins with 5 introduction sessions. This first lecture explains how to take part at the course, and what is waited from the students according to the three tasks. The tasks will be realized by the student with the help of the professor or of the assistant. The student has to contact the staff to get help.

Powerpoint presentation are on line.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The two report concerning practicals will count each for 25%.
Written exam (Analysis of new data) will count for 30%. Oral exam will count for 20%.
