Course contents :
|
| The first part of the course is dedicated to an overall presentation of documentation research tools useful to geographers. These tools are available at the University or free of charge on internet. Among these, the course relates in detail the discovery tool of the University libraries, bibliographic databases FRANCIS, GEOREF, Scopus, as well as some specific resources. A part of the course is also devoted to the research of cartographic documents (GEOKATALOG, regional, national, international cartographic websites).
On the other hand, the correct writing of bibliographical references is dealt with. |

| Teaching students to develop documentation research skills and to write down bibliographic references. |

| Exercises are dedicated to documentation research in the fields of human geography, physical geography, and cartography. |

| A tutorial involving documentation research is at students' disposal. |

Assessment methods and criteria :
|
| The examination is a documentation research on a given subject. This research is realised with tools used during this course. The evaluation is based on the following:
- the quality of documentation research
- the formulation of search equations
- the presentation of the bibliography. |
