Course contents :

| Classification of materials according to structure, composition, porosity, etc.. General characteristics (physical, chemical, mechanical and rheomechanical properties). Materials with hydrocarbon or polymeric binders. Silicates, ceramics and glass. Wood. |

| Provide the knowledge to be able to select construction materials in accordance with their ability and use. Understand interaction mechanisms of materials with environnement. |

| - Oral presentation of materials
- Laboratory experiments: about ten tests on bitumen, plastics and various composite materials.
- Development of lab results.
- Factory visit |
