Course contents :  
The aim is to introduce students to the social sciences applied on the analysis of issues of environmental management. We will especially see how the social sciences is useful to understand environmental socio-technical controversies.
This initiation will occur from reading and analysis of scientific texts. The course will also aim to prepare students for the apprehension of such text.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The objective of the course is to make the students able to define the different components of a problemtaci environmental situation. That implies to use the basic concepts of different disciplines, to critically examine a specific situation et to creatively propose research tracks or positive solutions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The course will include:
- oral presentation by teachers - discussion of exemplary cases - collective work on papers to be read.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Participation to the course is required.Students will be partially evaluated during the course.
