Course contents :  
Introduction to the network of transmission and distribution of electricity.This wil be done taking into account the environmental aspects, like renewables, intermittent generation management, rational use of electricity, electromagnétic effects on human health.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The student will be able to :
Understand why using electricity networks ? How does it work from high voltage down to residential level.
Understand and explain how to include intermittent renewables energy into such network operation.
Understand the rational use of electrical energy.
Better understand the impact of low frequency (50 Hz) electromagnetic field (induced by power lines and cables) on human health.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic knowledge in electricity and energy.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
evaluate their own electricity consumption, compute and measure magnetic fields. Being able to explain basics in electrical network.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
given by 4h lectures ex cathedra
two half day exercices, calculation and measurements
Home works will be given.
