Course contents :  
That course comprises six chapters:

* Basic concepts
* From measure to evaluation
* Instruments
* Building of a assessment tool
* Psychological effects of fitness tests
* Assessment of sport skills
Learning outcomes of the course :  
- Familiarization with the basic concepts of assessment.
- Illustration of assessment processes adapted to school, sport and leisure contexts.
- Acquisition of competences designed to develop an assessment project.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
- Upstream. Biostatistics (MSM 1) and all specific courses proposed in the Sport sciences programme.  In addition, students can use what they have experienced during the sport's courses. - Remark: This cours presents links with those focused on physical education teacher preparation
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Students experience several situations that help them to develop specific competencies.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The teaching sessions are planned during the first semester. Information is provided during the first lesson.
Recommended or required readings :  
A pdf version of the slides and documents proposed during the theoretical lessons is posted on the Website myULg. In addition, the students will have to seek other information, according to recommendations' of the course's leader.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
A written exam is planned in January.
