Course contents :  
Based on case studies, the seminar analyses the charges affecting the agricultural and rural world in general and the political issues linked to these changes. Conflict situations engendered by the changes in production mode and consumption habits are considered in an interdisciplinary framework.

There is a particular focus on ressources management and on the specific dimension of land issues in agrarian dynamics.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Agrarian dynamics are linked to the objectives of agricultural policies which can vary spatially and temporally.
Rural communities have the right to demand a certain form of economic and social equity.
Therefore, varias criterias have to be considered ; not only inherent to agricultural economics but also to element, of sociological character and to the economic constraints in general.
The approach has to integrate some elements to identify environmental impacts. This process has to be pert of a sustainable development strategy.
After completing the course the student is expected to
Identify the social, economic and environmental stakes going with the agrarian actual dynamics
Understand the bases intervening in the choices of allowance of the resources, in particular the land resources
Argue a position during a statement or a debate
Criticize and make a scientific summary
