Learning outcomes of the course :

| At the end of this course, students should be able to :
- Describe the organization of Health System in Belgium, its origin and objectives
- Understand the specificity of the Health Economics
- Analyse the mechanisms and parameters influencing the growth of spending, including drug expenditure, and ways to contain this growth
- Decompose the price of drugs, calculate the patient's co-payment
- Describe methodology of drug use evaluations and pharmacoeconomic studies

| Having completed an internship in community pharmacy is helpful to put in perspective the theoretical lecture with field practice. |
