Course contents :
 |
| The main objective of the course is to give students (future bio-engineers) elements of the "general legal culture" that controls citizens who have responsibilities in any given field of activity.
We will consider the following issues:
- Sources of law and hierarchy of norms
- Notions of public law
- Notions of judicial law
- Notions of civil law (property, obligations, contracts) |
 |
Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| The course objective is to teach students fundamental legal notions so that, aware of the potential difficulties of these issues, they are later able as engineers either to personally avoid the principal pitfalls which may arise or to seek legal advice on their specific problems.
At the conclusion of the course, the student should have assimilated the broader legal concepts that are the subject of the course and have acquired a thorough general knowledge of the legal provisions of the law of persons, property and contracts. Many examples will be given allowing students an opportunity to memorise the rules. |
