Course contents :

| The course starts with an analysis of the violent behaviors in varied circumstances of the social life.
The course develops then less usual topics: political and religious violence, organized crime, war crimes and genocides.
One seeks to understand:
the limits between the normal and the pathological,
the obedience to the authority,
the weight of the personality or the social criconstances
the influence of the medias and the crowds |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| - to analyze the evolutions of the forms of violence (theoretical approach)
- to identify the individual, psychological, social, moral, political factors which produce violences
- to understand the importance of the environment
- to understand the reactions of the victims of violence and to know the current means of treatment |
