Course contents :  
The course is divided into modules of 2 or 3 hours on the following topics:
Climatology applied to wind and solar components Climatology applied to regional planning Climatology applied to hydrology Climatology applied to road winter maintenance Climatology applied to wine growing Climatology applied to wildfires prevention Climatology applied to problems of health and tourism
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of this course, the student will be able to better appreciate aspects very diversified by the links of climatology with the managements of territories and the spatial organization of human activities.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic concepts in climatology and meteorology
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Exercise to be solved in relation to a specific topic of application and a comparative analysis of data issued from a lot of different automatic instruments installed in the meteorological stations SSHF and Sart Tilman
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Courses and practical work by meetings of 2 or 3 hours.
Reports to be written.
Recommended or required readings :  
Studies of applied climatology drawn from research of the laboratory or from acts of conferences, climatic journals, reviews and reports.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Oral and written presentation of a case study
