Course contents :  
The first part of the course is a detailed discussion of the mechanisms of polymer synthesis. The second part is devoted to their properties in solution and to their characterization methods.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course aims at being a synthesis of the main concepts of chemistry of polymers, of the main synthesis routes, as well as basic methods for their characterization.
Learning independence. Search for information. Acquisition of questioning mind. Time management. Development of analytical ability. Development of deductive skills. Development of collaborative work. 
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of organic chemistry

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
10 sessions of 2h each. One introductory course followed by problem-based learning. 3 lab sessions including 1 session of discussion of the results obtained during the lab sessions.
