| This lecture part is dedicated to protein biochemistry. The chapters are :

5. Structural characteristics

7. Protein functions
8. Purification and analyses
9. From protein to pathology
10. From protein to drugs |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |
| 1. To be able to explain in details the structure of a protein the energetic and steric constraints that the protein faces when it folds to its native structure.
2. Being able to calculate various parameters of enzymatic reactions in Michaelis-Menten and non Michaelis-Menten reactions.
3. To known and being able to explain the various post-translational modifications undergone by proteins and the functional consequences of these changes.
4. To known and being able to explain the principles of the various methods of protein analysis. |
