Course contents :  
This course questions the esthetics of the puppet theatre, the creatures of animation and the digital actors of the contemporary cinema.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To discover the fields of the puppet theatre and the cinema of animation.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of the history and the esthetics of the cinema and the living spectacle.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
The students have the choice between two sort of works:
1. A written analysis of a puppet show or a cartoon film of their choice;
2. An illustrated project (sketch, model, model sheet, layout, etc.) of a work concerned with the puppet theatre or the cinema of animation.
