Course contents :  
This module takes a specific interest in objects constructed or not constructed in the Liege region over the last ninety years.
Each student must choose a building he or she is interested in. The workshop will take place in two phases:

1/ ENQUIRY
1.1 Collation of the data relative to the building and its creator.
1.2 Layout of the plans and the realization of a scale model.

2/ ANALYSIS
2.1 Spatial analysis: voids, the surrounding area, the « space pockets», movement, load-bearing structure etc.
2.2 Analysis of the material: the use of materials, their implementation etc.

The objective is to update the process of "projecting", and what the construction says about itself.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The student will have a grasp of the elements and values that contribute to the formulation of an architectural proposition. The student will be able to take into account the notions of territory and time. In this regard the town and the environment are concerned.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The history of architecture and art (in parallel). Particularly the 19th and 20th centuries. The general history of the town and urbanism.
