COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FOR WORKSHOP C (VISITS AND LECTURES) 
AGAINST AND WITH ARCHITECTURE 
From the development of materials,
to project completion. 
General overview: 
The programme for the academic year will include:
*Presentations by practitioners both in the field of architecture and materials. 
*Guided visits to completed architectural projects. 
*Guided visits to workshops involved in the production of materials, (ironmongers, joiners etc.).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Course objective : 
In preparation for workshop C, this cycle of visits and lectures enables the students to be confronted with the practical completion of those elements of architecture that they are experimenting with, through the intervention of lecturers giving the students the benefit of their specific studies and personal experience of the subject covered, and also with the help of relevant practitioners in the subject area.
This cycle varies according to the programmes in question and is in direct relation to the academic programme developed and the site in question. 
The 2ECTS courses in the form of 24 hours of classes are delivered in two tranches of 2 hours (or block-delivered during a half-day following the scheduling of course-work or final work by the lecturers.

Corequisite obligatory complementary course : 
*The workshop ARCH 1654-1  WORKSHOP C STUDIO 1/1 (level 2 ) is directly linked to this course dealing with the problem of intervention in existing buildings.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
2nd quadrimester 
Based on the programme delivered in the workshop, interventions in the form of lectures and visits to finishing and handicraft workshops are organized.

There is no obligatory syllabus or bibliography.
*Personal notes are to be taken by the student.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Presence at the workshops, visits and presentations is obligatory in order to enable the continuous assessment of the student: 
A file must be prepared in relation to the visits to workshops to be agreed with the relevant lecturers. 
The assessment criteria are: 
*Assessment is carried out by the lecturers accompanied by specific resource personnel or the addressees of the project. During his or her work in workshop C, each student will present a partially oral paper per subject concerned which will be included in the final project workbook making it possible to assess the information presented.
